This project was to redesign the identity of the Jacksonville Jaguars to represent the city and it’s past rather than just have a regular jaguar as their logo. I created a jaguar with digital camo spots to represent the military history of Jacksonville. The colors of yellow, orange, and brown are from the city’s flag and the teal is for the water around the city and it’s well known bridge. The logotype is designed to have the feel of the cities buildings, with the sleekness and sharp angles.

Along with the logo and logotype, I created uniforms (home and away), a gameday app, and a billboard that follow the same feel as the rest of the brand.

I wanted the Jaguar logo to be stealth, the quick and powerful characteristics of the great cat. The spots represent the military history of the city by instead of the normal jaguar spots, they are the same digital camo used on military uniforms.

The main focuses of the uniforms is the city flag colors and the camo spots almost hidden on the bottom of the helmet, the shoulders of the jersey, and the side of the pants.

My idea with the app is that your game ticket has a snaptag that you scan with a smartphone and you get access to this gameday app that includes a game tracker, rosters of the teams playing, trivia, and background downloads.

For the billboards I wanted to give people a sneak peak of the new Jaguars identity by only showing some of the logo. It can be used on billboards across the city and even on the scoreboard as a kind of screensaver. I also wanted to utilize the season tagline of “Dawn of the Stealth,” which is saying the beginning of this new identity that revolves around the word stealth.
